Answer No, you can only claim something that “helps” your career. You could see if there is a subscription rate for seniors card holders. Speak to their subscription department.

Answer Not unless you have some equal value collateral (ie you are buying a house they can repossess). The bank cares only if you can make the payments with your salary and if you don’t can they get the money back by repossessing your car or house.
